Warframe player count hits a new record with the launch of Fortuna

November 9, 2018 Warframe's concurrent player count record is now over 131k.

Warframe player counts are on the rise once again thanks to the launch of Fortuna. The latest open world expansion for the free-to-play shooter has brought scads of players back to the game, and Warframe has just achieved a new peak concurrent player count of 131,766. Not bad over five years after its original release. That’s not even the full number, since that stat is specific to players on Steam, and some number of purists stick with the game’s own launcher. (Not to mention those playing on consoles.) Player counts skyrocketed with the launch of Fortuna yesterday, and peaked earlier this morning, less than 24 hours after the expansion became available. We may see even bigger peaks over the weekend, but time will tell. You can watch the numbers grow for yourself over on Steam Charts. Warframe’s previous peak isn’t far behind this one. In June, around the launch of the Sacrifice, Warframe reached 129,002 players. The first jump above 100k came in October 2017, when the first open world expansion Plains of Eidolon launched.
