Don't expect in-game recording to make a comeback, either.
As portable as the Switch version of Fortnite is, there are admittedly a few setbacks when it comes to the game's performance. It's capped at 30 frames per second and Epic even had to remove the video capture feature.
During a recent Reddit AMA, the developers of the free-to-play battle royale were asked if the frame rate in the Switch version would ever be improved and if the video capture feature would perhaps one day return. Unfortunately, the developer has no plans to bump up the frame rate or bring back the in-game recording. On a more positive note, it is planning to add in server-side replays.
