Polybius - were you around?

I wondered if anyone here is the right age and was in the right place to hear about Polybius when the urban legend first sprang up.

The story is that a bunch of arcade games called Polybius started popping up, then disappearing, around Portland. The appearances were then linked to a secret govt organisation.

I'm doing some research on the story and would love to get in touch if so.
