However, if you want the Moonstone Wolf Pelt, you won’t be taking a sample of this legendary animal, you’ll be wanting to take its pelt so you can exchange it with Gus for the Moonstone Coat. Where To Find The Moonfang Wolf in Red Dead Online
The Moonfang Wolf is one of the rarest Legendary Animals we’ve encounter so far. We’ve found it in a couple of locations. One to the South East of the small village and one to the West of the small village. I was in the area for approximately 90 minutes running around before it appeared. It spawned during the day, normal weather, at this location.
There are a lot of people searching for the Moonfang Wolf at the moment, so be wary. I had another player show up and kill me before I could do much. Go in passive mode beforehand to at least give you time to react. Once you have the skin you can return to Gus for the reward.
We are continuing to look for other spots and any reliable methods for spawning the wolf, we’ll update the guide if we find anything new.
