Bandai Namco released a surprised trailer last night announcing Azwel for Soulcalibur VI. He is notable for being a super huge weirdo, which you can see for yourself in the reveal trailer below.
Calling himself the leader of humanity, Azwel wields a number of different energy weapons that are collectively known as Palindrome. Throughout the trailer, he rants about the positive aspects of humanity in a villainous sort of way and then stuff gets even stranger after the half mark. It seems likely that Azwel, the first new character announced since Gr0h in January, is directly related to the time travel shenanigans that have rebooted the series in the first place.
Soulcalibur VI releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 19.
