Free games: Pick up first-person horror game Soma at no charge on GOG

'Tis the season to be jolly, not to be scared our of your wits and mind, but let's ignore that for now. The reason being that, as part of its Winter Sale, GOG is offering you the first-person horror game Soma for free. Yep, free as in no money, nada, zero pounds and zero pennies. So, please, put your wallet away. You can pick it up over on GOG.com right now until December 30, 11:00 GMT / 03:00 PST. All you have to do is click the 'Get it FREE' button in the banner on GOG's main page. Do that and you'll get it added to your GOG account. Voila and all that. Soma is the latest game from Frictional Games, which is a studio you may know as being the developer of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Penumbra series. The studio has built a reputation for creating some of the scariest horror games ever. Soma takes many elements from Amnesia, such as sneakily dodging monsters in the dark and physics-based puzzle solving, but adds to it a sci-fi story about what it means to be human.
