Monster Hunter: World is getting an Assassin’s Creed crossover

Crossovers have long been a feature of Monster Hunter games, and Monster Hunter: World is continuing the tradition - the Witcher's Geralt of Rivia will be visiting the New World some time this coming year, and we’ve now learned there’s an Assassin’s Creed collaboration as well. The limited-time event is live now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but we PC players will have to wait a bit longer for our shot. When it arrives, you’ll be able to take on the Event Quest “SDF: Silent, Deadly, Fierce” in order to unlock the Assassin’s Hood mantle, which provides a boost to damage when you attack from stealth. You also get a boost to your climbing and running speeds after crouching with the hood, and hey, it looks pretty cool, too. The event quest has you taking on a group of “nimble, fierce, and impetuous monsters" in the arena, specifically the high-rank versions Odogaron, Deviljho, and Lunastra. Completing the quest will earn you a feather from Senu, Bayek’s eagle companion from Assassin’s Creed Origins. Using these, you’ll be able to craft Bayek’s layered armor, which can be worn over your favorite armor set.
