14 Days Of Fortnite Returns Next Week

14 Days of Fortnite, a holiday-themed event, is coming back next week after it had ended much earlier than players expected. Epic Games is bringing it back after admitting that the developer shared the wrong end date on social media.

Epic promised that players will receive a free item as part of the studio's apology, and that 14 Days of Fortnite would return for a limited time. You can read Epic's statement, which was originally published on its official website, below.

"We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and did not feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach," Epic wrote on its website. "After further discussion, we've decided to bring back this event early next week through January 15 at 3 AM ET (0800 UTC). We'll also be enabling some of the most popular Limited Time Modes that were available during the event.

Players who were unable to complete those Challenges will be able to earn all of the rewards they may have initially missed out on. All Challenges will be available to complete for the entire duration of the event. Unfortunately, progress on partially completed challenges has to be reset. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding!"

14 Days of Fortnite brings new challenges and rewards each day. With the event's return next week, players get another chance to compete in these challenges. Partially completed challenges from the event's first iteration, however, will be reset.
