Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is about to get a healthy dose of new challenges and high-level gear as the Tidal Basin update drops on April 5 for all Xbox Live Gold players. Tidal Basin will allow players to advance to World Tier 5, which means tougher enemies and a whole new level of loot that will let players increase their gear score past 450.
The update also introduces The Division 2’s toughest challenge yet: a new stronghold held by the Black Tusk faction. Taking it down will be a job for only the strongest Agents in D.C., and will help them prove their mettle before the ultimate test – the eight-player raid. For a peek at what’s coming in Tidal Basin, check out the reveal stream here on Mixer from 10am PT to 11am PT today before you get your hands on it April 5.
Tidal Basin is the first free update as part of Invasion: Battle for D.C., which will include the release of The Division’s first ever raid and a new fourth specialization. Invasion: Battle For D.C. is just the first entry in The Division 2’s Year 1 post-launch plan, which will see the release of new main missions and new locations through three additional episodes of content dropping throughout 2019.
Episode 1 – D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions will be available this summer, followed by Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle and Episode 3 later this year. In between the larger episode updates, The Division 2 will be getting a regular stream of on-going content in the form of a new raid, projects, cosmetics, bounty events, challenges, and much more. All Year 1 content will be completely free for all players. Washington D.C. is about to raise the stakes even higher; just make sure your gear and squad are ready when it does, Agents.
