Japanese Charts: Switch Console Sales Reach 8 Million, Will Soon Overtake PS4 Lifetime Sales

After just two years on sale.

Japanese chart figures are now in for 15th - 21st April, revealing that the Nintendo Switch has now surpassed 8 million sales in the region.

Before we jump into console sales, let's quickly take a look at this week's top ten. Famitsu reports that this week's new release, Langrisser I & II, shifted 9,031 copies on Switch to debut in sixth place; the PS4 version sold better, reaching second in the chart. Elsewhere, familiar Nintendo titles take up several of the top spots.
