Nexon’s ‘Darkness Rises’ Has a Collaboration on with SNK’s ‘Samurai Shodown VI’ for a Limited Time

Darkness Rises (Free) from Nexon soft launched a while ago and it eventually did see a global release with a lot of success. Alongside a new collaboration with SNK’s Samurai Shodown VI, we also know that Darkness Rises has crossed over 25 million downloads worldwide. I only recently got into SNK’s fighters through the King of Fighters series and have been slowly going into their earlier entries. Watch the trailer for the new collaboration below:

If you’ve not played Darkness Rises yet, it online co-op which is always fun in action RPGs and it looks pretty great when it comes to gameplay. The collaboration includes limited time costumes that you can use to make classes in game look like characters from Samurai Shodown VI ones. This event is on until May 9th and you can get five new pets as well. The celebration for 25 million downloads also sees login rewards added for all players.

If you’ve not played it yet, you can download Darkness Rises on the App Store for free. Make sure to check out our forum thread for the global release here. While having a collaboration with a fighting game franchise isn’t really new for most games on mobile, I love how SNK is seemingly doing it with so many games and even letting other developers work with their games for consoles. The SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is a great selection of their earlier games and it is available on PS4 and Switch with an upcoming Xbox port. Check out the official website for Darkness Rises.
