The Collectibles Offered Exclusively At Star Wars Celebration

After taking a year off, Star Wars Celebration returns at 1 p.m. today, this time in Chicago. Rain permitting, Stromtroopers and Rebel Alliance soldiers are expected to be in full force on the streets surrounding the sprawling McCormick Place convention hall, the largest venue of this type in the United States. Lucasfilm has plenty of surprises in store for showgoers, including first looks at Star Wars Episode IX, The Mandalorian, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Star Wars has been on the decline following the releases of The Last Jedi and Solo, but there's an electric buzz for the galaxy far, far away in Chicago's air, as fans are eager to find out what's coming next. They're also apparently looking forward to standing in line for hours on end to secure the exclusive collectibles that will only be offered at the show. Most of the highly coveted items from Celebrations past go for big money in secondhand markets, and people jump in line early at these shows just to make sure they secure them. Here's what they have a chance to get this year:

Hasbro: The Black Series

Hasbro is celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Phantom Menace with new six-inch Black Series figures of Darth Maul and Obi-Wan Kenobi. These limited-edition figures feature retro packaging that should take fans back to the heyday of Star Wars collecting, when Target and Toys R Us dedicated complete aisles to action figures for the forthcoming films.

Funko: Chrome Pops!

At this point, Funko may have created a Pop figure based on every Star Wars character to date. So what's the next step? Chrome. Funko is bringing six different chrome figures to the show, and fans can buy them individually. The figures are Boba Fett, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Yoda, and a Stormtrooper.

Originally released at Galactic Con in March, Funko is also selling these new sculpts of Darth Maul and Watto at its Celebration booth.

Lego: Darth Vader Bust

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Lego Star Wars merchandise. Lego is celebrating the occasion with a Darth Vader bust and throwback packaging. This item will also be sold at Target stores for a limited time.

Show Store: Clothing

Lucasfilm is bringing dozens of different pieces of exclusive clothing to the show store, which usually sees some of the show's longest lines. I selected what I feel are the best and worst shirts from the bunch. The Mace Windu Chicago shirt may be so bad that it's great.

Show Store: Other Merch

If a shirt doesn't catch your eye, perhaps Corellian duct tape will, or maybe a Millennium Falcon pizza-box magnet. Okay, what's with all of the pizza references? I know Chicago has great pizza, but well, yeah, that's probably it.
