In order to get the Double Jump, you will first need to make it to the Livre Ex Machina map. This will most likely take you 3-4 hours or more depending on how much exploring you end up doing. Once you are there, work your way to this area on the map and make sure to save before entering.
The boss in here has the double jump ability that you can get by beating them. It is weak to blunt, piercing, and lightning and has 1600 HP. Be sure to bring plenty off food to keep yourself alive and beat it down. After you win, you will get the Double Jump shard and be able to progress.
