Cult Classic PS1 'Anti-RPG' Moon Is Coming to the Nintendo Switch in English

Cult classic “anti-RPG” Moon is finally coming to North America. Onion Games announced that it will be bringing the PlayStation 1 RPG in English for the very first to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Moon is a PlayStation 1 RPG first released in 1997 for Japan only. Developed by Love-de-Lic and published by ASCII Entertainment, Moon was originally slated to come to North America in 1997. Unfortunately, publisher ASCII US dropped plans to release Moon in the west, and the RPG became a cult classic.

Moon’s premise was fairly ahead of its time. The RPG begins with a young boy in the real world playing an in-game RPG called “Moon.” He then gets sucked into this in-game version of “Moon” himself. He must then explore this mysterious RPG world and find a way back to the "real" world. This genre of fantasy is typically known in Japan as an “Isekai.”
