The end of an era.
In July, we found out the YouTube service for the 3DS would end in Japan on 3rd September. Well, it's now officially 4th September in Japan and according to Japanese Nintendo, Google has removed this app and service from the system's eShop.
If you're located in this region, you'll no longer be able to download this free app for your older handheld device. The YouTube app originally went live on the 3DS in 2013 and followed on from the YouTube update for the Wii U. Nintendo users in Japan with access to a Wii U or Switch can still access YouTube on these systems.
