New Star Wars: The Mandalorian Trailer Features Comedian Bill Burr In A Shootout

Last week, a trailer or Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker premiered during the NFL's Monday Night Football game on ESPN. This week, fans got another trailer for original series The Mandalorian, coming to Disney+ on launch day for the streaming service on November 12.

The trailer, which below, gives us some idea what the show will be about. The Mandalorian is one of the best bounty hunters around, and he'll be getting involved with Werner Herzog's unnamed character, who lives on a planet that sure does look like Tattooine, and there are still remnants of the Galactic Empire--Stormtroopers. Almost everything we've seen in the previous videos takes place in what looks like the outer rim. This was also the first time we saw comedian Bill Burr in the trailer, as he's shooting three blasters at someone. Essentially, this show looks like Star Wars meets the wild west, so it's the perfect addition to the universe.

The Mandalorian takes place after the fall of the Galactic Empire, but before the rise of the First Order--the show will, however, sow the seeds of that group coming together. The series follows the titular character, played by Pedro Pascal, a lone gunfighter working outside of the authority of the New Republic. The series also features Gina Carna as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, and Taika Waititi as IG-11.

Unfortunately, we won't know too much more about this show prior to its release as there will be no reviews of the show, from anyone, prior to the release date. The series is shrouded in secrecy, and Disney is putting a lot of time and effort into the project, so don't consider this a bad thing.

Disney+ is also working on an Obi-Wan Kenobi series where Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as the Jedi Master. And if you're looking for more Star Wars adventures in the real world, Disney is launching some Rise of the Skywalker content to their parks starting this December.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian arrives on Disney+ on the streaming service's launch day, November 12.
