Modern Warfare’s Gunfight is getting a 3v3 mode

Gunfight is one of the most interesting additions the new Modern Warfare makes to Call of Duty, and Infinity Ward is adding to it. The developer is currently working on a 3v3 mode for Gunfight, which currently has 2v2 and the recently-added 1v1 playlists. Infinity Ward announced the upcoming addition in a community update blog post this week. The post also notes that Modern Warfare will also see the return of Gunfight Tournaments, which were a hit in November, as well as the addition of more loadout slots beyond the current five. The new loadout slots will arrive in "the coming weeks," Infinity Ward says, but it has not provided a timeframe for the 3v3 Gunfight playlist or the return of Gunfight Tournament - so we'll have to keep an eye on the Modern Warfare Trello board for hints at when they'll show up. Gunfight, if you haven't been keeping track of your Call of Duty news lately, is a tense, fast-paced mode that by default features two teams of two players each facing off across a small, contained map. Players all get the same random equipment, and the last team with a player standing wins - no respawns until the next round begins. If neither team has been eliminated after 40 seconds, a flag spawns at the centre of the map, and whoever can capture that wins the round. The first team to win six rounds is the winner of the match.
