The name's Horizons, New Horizons.
One game we haven't seen recreated or at least referenced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons yet is Rare's legendary Nintendo 64 first-person shooter, GoldenEye 007. Admittedly, it's probably a tough one to replicate in a lifestyle simulator, but Twitter user @SkyhawkJD found an inventive way to pay tribute to the all-time classic.
Instead of trying to recreate the game on their island, they've taken the introduction scene from the N64 game and replaced all of the familiar faces with Animal Crossing villagers. Apart from the iconic gun barrel sequence at the very beginning, which is a tad cheesy, the rest of it is as close as it gets to the real thing:
