Two shows that were once set to air on FX will no longer be part of the cable network's lineup. That's because, instead, they are moving to FX's online component--FX on Hulu.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Y: The Last Man and American Horror Stories, a spin-off of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story, will stream exclusively on Hulu with episodes releasing each week. Those shows will follow in the footsteps of Mrs. America and Devs, the series by Alex Garland.
Hulu announced the news during its NewFronts presentation to advertisers. The streaming service also noted that 50% of its subscribers have partaken in FX on Hulu content thus far. For the unaware, in addition to originals like Devs and Mrs. America, nearly the entire FX programming library is available as part of FX on Hulu, with new episodes of shows on the cable network being added to the streaming service the next day.
