‘NieR Re[in]Carnation’ from Square Enix Gets a New Gameplay Trailer with a Closed Beta Planned for Later This Month in Japan

NieR Re[in]carnation was originally revealed during the 10th anniversary livestream for NieR (originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360) series where Square Enix announced a new version of NieR Replicant for modern consoles and PC. The iOS and Android game developed by Applibot had its first gameplay reveal a little while ago revealing the virtual controls with some amazing music. Today, Square Enix revealed a new trailer for NieR Re[in]carnation that showcases more gameplay with combat and announced a closed beta for Japan. Watch the new trailer below:

NieR Re[in]carnation has great music and character designs. The gameplay showcased has multiple characters moving with the camera panning and one combat instance with the UI displayed. Even though this is on mobile, everything about the style screams NieR. The closed beta will take place from July 29th until August 5th and you can sign up for it here until July 26th. The game’s website has also been updated. Check it out here. A release window and localisation have still not been announced for it. If you’re not in the mood to wait for something from Yoko Taro on mobile, check out SINoALICE and read my interview with Yoko Taro here. Have you played NieR Automata or the original NieR?
