Rocket League Will Drop Switch Online Requirement When It Goes Free-To-Play

Everyone can participate.

A few months ago, Psyonix surprised everyone when it announced its popular "soccar" game, Rocket League, would be going free-to-play this summer.

When it is finally made available to everyone, as you might have guessed it will no longer require users to be signed up to Nintendo Switch Online to play online. This covers both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. Here's the full confirmation from the game's website:
