Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S Release Date and Price Reportedly Revealed

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will allegedly both launch on November 10, 2020, and will cost $499 and $299, respectively. Furthermore, the console design for the Xbox Series S has also supposedly leaked. As reported by Windows Central, multiple sources have confirmed that the Xbox Series X will cost $499 at retail, with a $35 per month Xbox All Access financing option, while the entry-level Xbox Series S will cost $299, and will have a $25 per month Xbox All Access financing option. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=confirmed-xbox-series-x-games&captions=true"] As for the Xbox Series S' console design, Thurrott's Brad Sams revealed a leak that seems to show the first look of Microsoft's second, cheaper next-gen Xbox, and it looks to be more in-line with form factor of the Xbox One rather than the Xbox Series X. The big differences for the console, however, appear to be the giant cooling vent on top of the console and the apparent lack of a disc drive. The image has $299 as the "estimated retail price," but Windows Central's sources appear to indicate that this may end up being the final price. Another short video has leaked and shows the Xbox Series S in comparison to the Xbox Series X, showing how easily it would fit inside the bigger design of the Series X. This is hardly the first leak for the Xbox Series S, as Microsoft's second, cheaper next-gen Xbox was also reportedly confirmed by a controller packaging leak. While Microsoft has yet to officially reveal the Xbox Series S, it has been slowly revealing more details on the Xbox Series X and, even though it won't have Halo Infinite at its launch in November 2020, it will be a powerful console that will take advantage of Xbox Game Pass, Backward Compatibility, and "More than 50 new games planned for this year across generations and optimized for Xbox Series X, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Gears Tactics, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Watch Dogs: Legion."
