Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge finally launched on the Switch last week and is, by all accounts, a roaring success, pairing slick gameplay with gorgeous pixelated visuals for a truly modern take on the classic beat-em-up genre.
Developer Tribute Games clearly paid extra attention to making sure our favourite heroes in a half shell looked and felt authentic, but it seems it also went the extra mile in paying homage to the classic fighting games of yore. As highlighted by Twitter user @ryugainai, there are multiple animations in the game that look remarkably similar to move sets in well known fighting games like Street Fighter Alpha, Samurai Shodown, and Fatal Fury.
