In old Pokemon games, the Hidden Machine Fly could be taught to certain Pokemon – allowing you to fly to areas you have previously visited. Not only is this a great and reliable form of travel, but it also allowed you to return to older areas to use new HM’s and discover new locations.

How To Learn Fly In Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee & Pikachu

In Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu, things are a little different. Hidden Machines have been replaced by Secret Techniques. These are very similar in function, however they do not occupy a Pokemon’s move slots.

The HM Fly has been replaced with Sky Dash. You need to progress through the main story until you reach Celadon City. Here you will have to enter the Gaming Corner area and infiltrate Team Rocket’s HQ. Once you beat Giovanni, you will be rewarded with the Silph Scope.

When you leave the Gaming Corner, there will be a man outside sitting next to a flying machine. Simply speak with him and either your Pikachu or Eevee will learn the Secret Technique, Sky Dash.
