Star Wars Battlefront 2’s new mode has ship invasion, but no Starfighters

It's been rumored for a while, but the epic new mode for Star Wars Battlefront 2 has at last been revealed - and it's coming to the game as a free update this Tuesday, March 26. It's called Capital Supremacy, and matches involve fighting a tense battle on the ground before invading a capital ship in space. However, there's one key part of the Star Wars experience that won't feature - Starfighters. Capital Supremacy will - at least for now - be an exclusively Clone Wars-era mode, which sees the Clone Army of the Republic go against the Droid Army of the Separatists in battles waged on the ground and in space. Teams fight to control a majority of command posts on the ground and gain Reinforcements, and once a team has enough they can invade their opponent's ship. The mode is quite similar to Battlefield 2142's 'Titan' game mode, which has long been rumoured as coming to Battlefront 2. However, despite the presence of capital ship combat in space, there will be no Starfighter phase in the battle.
