A deleted Borderlands 3 trailer has logos from the Epic store – not Steam

April 1, 2019 A premature trailer for Borderlands 3 is awash in Epic logos.

A number of tweets have seem to have prematurely hit the official Borderlands account today, prematurely revealing some release info around Borderlands 3. One of those tweets had a brief trailer attached, and that video was branded with Epic Games store logos - notably, not Steam emblems. That makes it all but certain that Borderlands 3 will be heading to the Epic Games store, and while we can't definitely say that rules out a Steam release, Epic has not been shy about scooping up exclusives up to this point. This comes in the immediate aftermath of another deleted tweet from the official account suggesting that Borderlands 3 will be out in September. You can see a clip of the now-deleted tweet courtesy of Wario64 on Twitter.  It's worth also noting that on December 4, 2018 - the same day Epic announced its new marketplace - Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford tweeted that he was “excited to support the Epic Games store.”
