Team Sonic Racing on the Switch is slightly different from its PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC counterparts. When you boot up these other versions of the game, you're greeted with a beautiful opening cinematic of Sonic and the gang speeding around a track.
In the Switch release, this cutscene is noticeably absent. The reason for this, as previously suspected, is tied to the space available on the game card. In a statement provided to US Gamer, the game's publisher Sega confirmed the cart size was the reason the cinematic was not present in the Switch release and said there were no plans to add it in later down the line:
