From series heroes R2-D2 and C-3P0 to the toaster-sized MSE repair units buzzing around the Death Star, droids are some of the most recognizable creatures in the Star Wars universe. They can be companions, assassins, security guards, builders, co-pilots, librarians, fill a host of other roles or just busted piles of junk.
It’s only natural that developers would find clever and unique ways to bring these characters to life in games, regardless of if they’re friends or foes. But, because droids aren’t (usually) as cute as Baby Yoda or have cool force powers, sometimes they don’t get as much recognition as they deserve - until now. Here are our favorite droids that have bleeped and blooped their way into Star Wars games over the years.
