What's the point of consoles when they are slowly becoming PC's?

Between the console's "innovations" and demand for PC like features from console gamers the consoles are becoming less capable PC's. Gamers want PC's and don't even know it. They want fps and resolution options; backwards compatibility, more media features; mods; keyboard and mouse support; better graphics; more and faster storage. Other than the AAA games, how can anyone justify the next gen consoles. PC is pushing the limits for graphics and processing. The price points are looking to be around $500 for the consoles, the XBSX is literally going to be a tower. Sony and Microsoft are starting to venture off into the PC market by streaming and porting exclusive games. In a five year cycle you'll have to pay $500 for the console, pay for PSN or XL every year, which is $800 together then if you want an upgraded version of the console that'll run you an extra $500. You could save money by making an excellent PC for $550 to $800 dollars and play your PC on your couch; free online; get latest games; OG PC games for 3 bucks; play with any controller you ever want to, play with better frame rates, play with mods; not upgrade for five years; and enjoy one single platform for work, play, or whatever else you can think to do. I think in the future Sony will stop making consoles and just offer there own Steam like service plus subscriptions for PC. Microsoft will sell streamlined PC's similar to the XBSX. Nintendo will catch on late, but start selling their games on PC because what ever console they make won't directly compete with the PC.
