There are many different types of maps in Red Dead 2. The High Stakes Treasure Map is a potential reward you can receive for an encounter with an explorer out in the wild. The actual explorers location may differ but the treasure map itself, and its associated clues, remain the same.
We found the treasure map at the location in the image above. An explorer was standing on the edge of some rocks looking over the map. However, he does not hand it over willingly. Tie him up, take him down, do what you need to do.

Red Dead Redemption 2 High Stakes Treasure Map Guide
This is the map you receive from the explorer, and your only clue to finding this treasure. You need to head to Cumberland Falls. On the right side of the waterfall there is a small log sticking out of the waterfall. Climb the log into the waterfall to find the treasure.
Red Dead Redemption 2 High Stakes Treasure Map 2 Guide
The second treasure map leads you to a lake with a small hut, a large rock and a broken tree. Head to Barrow Lagoon, there’s a large boulder on the frozen lake with a fallen trunk on it. Climb across, halfway over you will find the clue.
Red Dead Redemption 2 High Stakes Treasure Map 3 Guide
This one is tough to reach. It’s located North East of Fort Wallace. There are two small peaks here, travel between them and there’s a path leading down to the left. You have to hug the cliff for quite a while, jumping down ledges and walking on narrow surfaces. It’s exactly here on the map:
