The Horseman Challenge in Red Dead 2 is a sequence of challenges revolving around you and your horse. To unlock the Horseman Challenge you must first complete the initial objective. You must shoot a single rabbit from horseback. This means you must be on your horse and shoot a rabbit. Once you kill a rabbit in this way, you will unlock the first challenge.

Horseman Challenge 1

There is a hunting mission near the beginning of the game. You accompany Hosea on a hunting trip. There’s three rabbits partway through the mission, you need to kill at least one to progress, but it’s a good spot to nab all three. There’s also some rabbits West of camp.

You get a Horseman Gun Belt at the Trapper

Horseman Challenge 2

The second Horseman Challenge requires you to jump over 3 obstacles in 15 seconds on your horse. Head to a town, somewhere like Valentine. In Valentine there’s a small farm with pigs and sheep. You can simply jump over three fences to complete this challenge.

Horseman Challenge 3

The third challenge is a speed travel challenge. You need to ride from Valentine to Rhodes in less than 5 minutes.

You get the Horseman Holster at the Trapper

Horseman Challenge 4

Lasso an enemy and drag him behind your horse for 3300 ft

Horseman Challenge 5

While mounted, trample 5 wildlife

Horseman Challenge 6

Ride from Strawberry to Saint Denis in under 9 minutes. You cannot touch water

Horseman Challenge 7

Kill 7 enemies while mounted without dismounting

Horseman Challenge 8

Kill nine predatory animals while riding your horse

Horseman Challenge 9

Travel from Van Horn Trading Post to Blackwater in under 17 minutes, without touching water

Horseman Challenge 10

Break at least one of every type of wild horse
