The 20 Most Ruthless Becky Lynch Tweets

The most exciting current WWE Superstar is Becky Lynch. She is the whole package, by any metric that wrestlers can be assessed.

She has the look and the athleticism. She has technical expertise. She has the ring psychology and non-verbal storytelling ability, so crucial to making a scripted conflict seem real.

She has unbelievable charisma and likeability--so strong that when she "turned heel" at Summerslam against Charlotte Flair, the fans refused to accept it and cheered Becky anyway. And rather than fight the perception, WWE decided to roll with it, and turned her into a take-no-prisoners asskicker, in the tradition of anti-heroes like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

In modern professional wrestling, feuds are all-encompassing; they're carried out in front of the camera and also on social media after the show. Becky is unusually quick-witted; she excels at Twitter, where she lands some of her sharpest , most cutting barbs at her critics and opponents. Here, for your schadenfreude and enjoyment, are Becky Lynch's 20 meanest, most savage Tweets. And make sure to check in with us this Sunday, March 10. We'll be covering the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view live, with updated results.

At The Photo Shoot

In late 2018, Becky spent her free time trolling and baiting former best friend Charlotte Flair. She confronted her at the WWE Performance Center. She attacked her in the ring. And best of all, she attacked her at a photo shoot and posted the results.

Short But Sweet

Months before Wrestlemania season and less than a month before their cancelled match at Survivor Series, Becky was planting the seeds on Twitter for a feud with Ronda Rousey. If she wasn't a main eventer, Becky was going to make herself one.

Little Miss (Concussed) Bliss

At the time of this Tweet, Alexa Bliss was inactive due to multiple concussions--the sort of thing that ends careers permanently. This insult blurred fiction with real life, which made it cut that much deeper.

Slim Becky

It's hard for a wrestler to make a pop culture reference and not sound lame doing it. But this quote from Eminem's "Stan" was a perfect illustration of how far The Man had gotten under Ronda's skin. And believe it or not, this is when things were still somewhat civil between them.

The Weakness

This is where things started getting real ugly between Ronda and Becky. A history lesson for context: Ronda took two back-to-back losses in her final two matches in the UFC: one to Holly Holm and the other to Amanda Nunes. And after her initial, lopsided loss to Holm, Rousey disappeared from public view and later admitted that she felt suicidal.

Y2J Takes An L

In the buildup to Survivor Series, Becky got her face broken, for real, thanks to a hard, inadvertent punch by Nia Jax. Becky leveraged this into multiple insults to many wrestlers. And even Chris Jericho, who wasn't even wrestling with WWE anymore, got caught in the crossfire.

The Four Turkeys

This was a direct shot across the bow of the MMA Four Horsewomen, comprised of Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir. All four of them are currently signed with WWE; a dream match between them and the WWE Four Horsewomen--Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley--is definitely in the cards.

Double Rupture

When Becky got her concussion, Charlotte poked fun at her for missing an episode of Smackdown. In return, Becky called Charlotte out for her plastic surgery and missing a month of competition. In truth, she had taken time off to heal; both of Charlotte's breast implants had ruptured and needed repair.

"Heenan-lite"

In his defense, Corey Graves is better than most of the current WWE commentators (Mauro Ranallo, of course, is the best). But Becky cut close to the cone when she compared Graves' heel persona to a pale imitation of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. That Graves was forced to retire from in-ring competition due to injuries makes the "you're just here to observe" diss even worse.

Done Before He's On The Main Roster

When Lars Sullivan tried to call out Becky, she used an image of her countryman, MMA fighter Conor McGregor, to make her point. "Who the F*** is that guy?" Sullivan, thoroughly ashamed, deleted his tweet and bowed out of the exchange. Don't step to The Man.

Back Off Man!

This past December, Road Warrior Animal said on his podcast that he thought "The Man" wasn't believable, and that the company was weak if the women had to main event the show. Becky, rather than getting in a direct fight with a WWE Hall of Famer, used a wrestling website's headline to make her point.

Corey Gets Hurt, Again

Not content with the liver shot he took the last time he subtweeted Becky, Corey decided to try his luck again. And this time, Becky wasn't playing around.

Stop! He's Already Dead!

Here's one last Corey Graves diss, just for the fun of it. Clearly, everyone's in on it; just because it's not on TV doesn't it isn't coordinated. But there's just enough wiggle room to for us to suspend our disbelief.

Ready for Asuka

Becky lost her Smackdown Women's Championship to Asuka at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. But in the buildup to their Royal Rumble match, Becky claims (correctly) that it's not only about who holds the title--it's also about the the person carries him or herself as champion.

Career Advancement

After Mickie James calls out Becky for calling herself "The Man" in an era of woman empowerment, Becky responds with what many people saw as a indirect reference to John Cena, who Mickie dated years before he ended up with Nikki Bella.

How About A Happy Birthday Hug?

This is just petty as hell. There's no better birthday present than getting into the headspace of your likely Wrestlemania opponent.

Boppity Boopity?

Ronda is a natural in the ring, but she still lags as a trashtalker. She has a tendency to rush her promos and stumble over her words. That's less noticeable when you're paying your dues on the undercard; it's glaring when you're main-eventing PPVs. Becky notices and continuously calls her out. This tweet, which subtitles Ronda's promo with gibberish, is brutally effective.

Becky and Baby

At a quick glance, this doesn't look like much. But look a little closer, and that's Ronda's head photoshopped where the baby should be. Ronda is a self-admitted crier, and Becky is playing into that expectation.

It Gets A Little Real

After several months of constant trolling by Becky, Ronda may have finally lost her head. She started breaking character this past weekend by distinguishing between her real moves and Becky's "fake" moves. And when Becky insulted Ronda's husband, the Baddest Woman on the Planet tweeted the following:

"Rebecca Quin, I don’t care what the script says, I’m beating the living s*** out of you the next time I see you."

Real names. References to a script. Is this part of the show? Or is this real anger? You decide.

I Own Ronnie

And lastly, here's a photo of Becky at UFC 235 from the first weekend in March, wearing a shirt that reads "I OWN RONNIE." That she wore this to Ronda's old stomping grounds is a new low in a long line of them. We still have a month to go before WrestleMania 35, and we're just waiting to see what happens next.
