WB Games and IO Interactive announced today that HITMAN 2 will receive a new competitive mode.
Called “Ghost Mode,” tasks two players to compete against each other online. With both players taking on the role of Agent 47, to assassinate the most targets in a particular match. To level the playing field, both players begin side-by-side and must set out to take down the same five targets. Items, weapons, outfits, and even ghost crate supply drops will be included.
There’s an interesting twist though – players will be able to see a “ghost” version of their rival to track progress against their own. However, the other player is unaffected by the actions of their adversary.
This particular mode will be available for the Miami location at launch, and will become available for additional HITMAN 2 locations post-launch.

The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 13.
