505 Games and Hello Games announced today that “The Abyss” content update is now available for No Man’s Sky on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
This update brings aquatic environments to the world of No Man’s Sky, with more variety, improved underwater visuals, new submersible vehicles, and other tweaks.The variety and visual quality of underwater biomes has also received an improvement.
A new story has also been added to the game. Called “The Dreams of the Deep,” players will discover what happened to a troubled crew stranded from a freighter crash by the rising tides. Players will also have the chance to explore underwater ruins, and can learn more of the tale of a lost soul trapped deep beneath the waves.
