Replay – The 2018 Halloween Spooktacular

On this week's episode, we take a look at Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, a game considered by many to be one of the scariest to date. The Fatal Frame series, which is known as Project Zero in Japan, delivers a unique survival horror experience that pushes the player to use a camera to vanquish ghosts. As goofy as this may sound, the developers at Tecmo Koei make most ghost encounters frightful. They often appear when you least expect them to, and often blend in with the environment to the degree that you can't really trust what you are seeing.

Crimson Butterfly delivers chilling visuals at a feverish pace. Game Informer loved it back in 2003, giving the game a score of 9.25 out of 10. Since this is Replay, we do our best to not focus on the game and have the most random of conversations and the worst of times. We hope you enjoy the episode, and have a great (and safe) Halloween!
