Stormworks’ survival update threatens to kill you with sharks and tsunamis

Stormworks: Build and Rescue has you conduct oceanic rescue ops using custom vehicles built with a robust editing tool that lets create the perfect ship for the job. The game launched in Early Access back in February, and the new survival update is the game’s biggest update yet, adding dangers ranging from sharks to tsunamis in order to thwart your missions and sink your vehicles. The new Survival mode adds damage and health bars, opening your player character to dangers like falling, fire, and water pressure - if you want. When vehicle damage is turned on, you’ll need to watch out for leaks, deal with broken rotors, and watch for engines overheating when they’re not operating as normal. Vehicles have gotten more complex, too, as engines now consume fuel and air while producing exhaust. Improperly managed engines can stall, and you’ll also have to manage a new electric system with power requirements - all of which will add a bit of additional strategy as you’re working through your missions. If that wasn’t enough, you’ve also got new dangers to watch out for. Sharks will snatch you away underwater, and the ocean itself will rise against you in massive waves when tsunamis strike.
